These screenshots are from map 5. The panic event doesn’t begin until just before you reach whats left of the plane that is crashed into the bridge.
There’s a few different pathways here that can be easily blocked off by the director later on with a wrecked car prop.
L4D/L4D2 Campaign

Work began on Gold Rush originally with the L4D1 tools and therefore requires that you download the “L4D Add-on Support” from the Tools menu of Steam in order to run the campaign. The maps use 100% L4D1 models and textures at present and can be compiled to run in either game.
State of the Zombies

Gold Rush is a full five map campaign centered around a large bridge in the Northern California area. It is designed in a style somewhat similar to a Counter-Strike map in that multiple pathways to choke points are presented to the player and it is up to you to decide which way to go. Some of these pathways vary in length and difficulty, and some will be controlled by the AI director to keep things interesting. Alternate game modes such as survival and scavenge are planned to be supported.
The five maps are as follows:1 – A short walk along the shore and up a storm drain leads you to an office building. (Map 1 is at 0% completion)
2 – You fight your way through the office building and out the parking garage, then quickly run through a cheap motel and into a truck depot. (Map 2 is at 90% completion)
3 – After fighting your way out of the truck depot, you descend down the forested hillside towards the bridge’s base. A quick climb, and you find yourself safe in the undercarriage of the bridge. (Map 3 is at 80% completion)4 – After you manage to get on top of the bridge, you fight your way towards the first set of damaged pylons; toppled by an airplane’s failed attempt at landing on the bridge. You either go over or through the capsized pylon to reach the small safe room near the middle of the bridge. (Map 4 is at 70% completion)
5 – You activate the flairs that are setup at the middle of the bridge which triggers the horde and a helicopter flying overhead then continues down the bride to the second set of pylons. You run the remaining span of the bridge during the finale until you finally reach the second set of pylons and ascend up an elevator to the rescue helicopter waiting on top. (Map 5 is at 35% completion)And here is a plethora of WIP screenshots to get the gallery up to speed on the map’s progress…
